While wisdom tooth extraction is generally safe, risks include infection, dry socket (when the blood clot at the site dislodges), and temporary numbness. Following your dentist’s aftercare instructions helps minimize these risks.

Removing wisdom teeth typically has no negative impact on your other teeth. In fact, it can relieve crowding, prevent future dental issues, and protect the alignment of your other teeth, especially if they were affected by impacted wisdom teeth.
